Headphones, Convenient But Safe?

Headphones on the surface seem to be items which help reduce outside noise disturbance for listeners but how helpful are they really? Studies have shown that prolonged use of headphones indeed damage the eardrum and has been documented to be related with hearing loss. A study published by the Journal of Epidemiology proved that excessive use of headphones over an annual period could result in brain tumors, particularly near the cranial nerve which senses sound and aids in human balance. Increased pressure on this nerve could result in severe and irreparable damage to the ear canal and organ.

Plastic Bottles Convenient But Safe?

Plastic bottles are something almost everyone comes in use within one way or another but how environmentally safe are they? With millions of bottles being thrown away annually the environmental cost are just too great to ignore. This is why aluminum or steel bottles which have a much less market share are better for the environment, not only are they biodegradable they’re economically more reasonable. Aluminum and steel bottles can be used over and over again and are much easier to recycle. They also do not leak poisonous chemicals when frozen or heated into the liquids which they hold. So the next time you consider picking one up ask yourself can you really afford it.

Title.

Cardboard Speakers are generally cheaper than your regular every day speakers. The cardboard speakers are made from recyclable paper which makes it a very portable item. The speakers come in a very flat package; unfolded, the speakers are cubed shaped, they weigh next to nothing. Don’t forget, it’s just cardboard! J  But in the other hand your regular everyday speakers are made from stamped iron or aluminum. The permanent magnet is a ceramic ferrite material consisting of iron oxide, strontium, and a ceramic binder. The cone, surround, and spider are made of treated paper coated with adhesive glue. The voice coil consists of a plastic bobbin with fine gauge insulated copper wire wound around it. This isn’t really good or helpful for our environment. That’s why we are here trying to help our world for the future by doing a little change here and little change there it might not look like a big change but in the long run it will do a lot.
